Chopper Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly began spiraling wildly, finally losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm fronds as spectators observed.
Footage posted on social media show the aircraft beginning to twirl near the beach then descending towards the perimeter of the coast, where it becomes wedged among palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three individuals on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

The department indicated the aircraft was associated with an annual “Cars and Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for Sunday.
